Gym High

Gym High Shred Mode is an eight-ingredient capsule formula with every active amount disclosed. The most important place to start is caffeine: one capsule provides 125 mg caffeine anhydrous, while the maximum two-capsule serving provides 250 mg. Matcha tea extract is also present, so total caffeine from the whole diet still needs consideration.

This guide explains the current Shred Mode label, the difference between one and two capsules, and the checks to make before deciding whether it fits an established routine. It does not promise weight loss or replace diet and training.

Formula per serving

Caffeine anhydrous 125 mg 250 mg
Eria Jarensis extract (NeuroPEA™) 100 mg 200 mg
Theobroma cacao extract 100 mg 200 mg
Bitter orange fruit extract 65 mg 130 mg
Capsicum extract 30 mg 60 mg
Citrus medica extract (isoSYN™) 25 mg 50 mg
Black pepper fruit extract (BioPerine™) 5 mg 10 mg

One capsule versus two capsules

The label directs adults to take one or two capsules daily with water, preferably with food, and to assess tolerance with one capsule before considering the full serving. One capsule and two capsules are not equivalent: the two-capsule serving doubles every listed active amount.

A 60-capsule container therefore supplies:

  • up to 60 one-capsule uses; or
  • 30 two-capsule uses.

Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. Avoid taking it within three hours of bedtime, in line with the current directions.

Caffeine: calculate the complete day

Caffeine anhydrous is clearly listed at 125 mg per capsule. The maximum serving contains 250 mg before accounting for coffee, tea, energy drinks, pre-workout products or other supplements. Matcha tea extract is also part of the formula.

The Food Standards Agency advises consumers to consider caffeine from supplements alongside all other dietary sources. It states that intake up to 400 mg per day is unlikely to cause adverse effects for most adults, while individual sensitivity differs. Pregnancy guidance limits caffeine to 200 mg per day; Shred Mode is not recommended for pregnant women.

Do not treat 400 mg as a target. If you experience unwanted effects such as sleeplessness, agitation or palpitations, stop use and seek appropriate advice.

Reading the eight ingredients

Matcha tea extract

The label lists 150 mg per capsule. Because tea ingredients can contribute caffeine, consider the complete formula and total diet rather than counting caffeine anhydrous in isolation.

Caffeine anhydrous

The label gives an exact amount, allowing you to compare one- and two-capsule servings and calculate overlap with other products.

Eria Jarensis and Theobroma cacao extracts

Both amounts are fully disclosed. Their inclusion does not make Shred Mode suitable for every person or justify combining it with another stimulant formula.

Bitter orange, capsicum and Citrus medica

These botanical extracts are listed individually rather than hidden inside a blend. Marketing language associated with “heat” or “shred” is not a measurement of weight loss.

Black pepper extract

BioPerine™ is listed at 5 mg per capsule. As with every component, its presence should be read as part of the complete formula, not as proof of broad claims for the finished product.

Who should not use Shred Mode?

The current label states that it contains caffeine, is not recommended for children or pregnant women and is not intended for anyone under 18. Keep it out of sight and reach of children.

Consult an appropriate medical professional before use if you have been treated for or diagnosed with an underlying medical condition. Also seek advice if you use medicines, are breastfeeding or are unsure about any ingredient. If an adverse reaction occurs, stop taking the supplement and seek medical advice.

Can Shred Mode be combined with pre-workout?

Only after reading both labels and calculating every overlapping ingredient. Many pre-workouts contain caffeine, so combining them with a two-capsule Shred Mode serving can raise the daily total quickly.

A simpler approach is to decide which product has the clearer role on that day. Do not assume two products are compatible merely because one is labelled “pre-workout” and the other “thermogenic”.

What Shred Mode does not replace

Shred Mode is a food supplement. It does not replace:

  • a varied, balanced diet;
  • a structured energy-intake plan;
  • regular training and activity;
  • adequate sleep and recovery;
  • medical care or prescribed treatment.

The product name is not a guarantee of fat or weight loss. For a broader explanation, read what fat burners can and cannot do.

How to compare Shred Mode with another product

  1. Compare the complete serving and maximum daily serving.
  2. Record caffeine from the supplement and every other source.
  3. Check whether individual ingredient amounts are disclosed.
  4. Read the warnings and assess timing around sleep.
  5. Compare cost per actual serving, not cost per capsule.
  6. Check whether another product duplicates the same ingredients.
